| I'll preface this post by saying that I overall was very happy with the quality and fitment of the spoiler. The TBL was the only area that needed massaging. Even the best fiberglass body parts are probably not going to fit as good as OEM and most probably get massaged for good fitment if a competent bodyshop is painting them. This is as far as the TBL would fit in the spoiler when I got it:
This is after I massaged the TBL recess for proper fitment and also wetsanded the primer on the whole spoiler. The painters tape was used to mark the TBL mounting bolt locations with a transfer punch:
Marking the mounting holes with a transfer punch:
To make mounting threads, I cut a piece of 1/4" aluminum bar to fit inside the spoiler which I later drilled-and-tapped using the marks above:
By the time I got the TBL fit-up properly, a very thin spot formed in fiberglass which I later built back up
Fiberglass added to the thin area and folded cardboard holding the aluminum bar in place while the epoxy cured. I used West Systems epoxy with microfiber filler
Re-primed, mounting holes drilled, tapped and helicoiled
